Basics of Chart Auditing

This course is open only to participating MetroCare Physicians members and their staff

This interactive session is designed for coders and will focus on techniques for auditing clinical documentation to justify appropriate assignment of E/M codes and review for ICD-10 CM code specificity and identifying co-morbidities.

Objectives include:

• Assisting with the implementation of your own internal audit program
• Providing exercises for hands on auditing experience
• Guiding you with effective feedback to your physician and staff

Be sure to bring your current CPT-4 and ICD-10 CM manuals with you as well as a highlighter and sticky notes.  Feel free to also bring your questions or problems.
