Overview: This session introduces OSHA and its general requirements in a medical practice setting. This presentation meets the education requirements for OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.

Objectives:

• Review common OSHA rules for medical practices
• Report information on workplace violence, ergonomics, fire, emergency, infectious agents and hazardous communications
• Meet the education requirements for OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens including PPE, sharps’ safety, hepatitis vaccinations, exposure incident protocol and other safety measures
