“Pencils, Pressure, and Panic: Mental Health at Back to School.”
Dr. Alicia Barnes, DO, MPH
July 15 12:15-1:00 PM
Online Presentation. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one day prior.
Anxiety affects 1 in 4 children and is now the most common mental health diagnosis in youth, prompting new recommendations for routine screening in pediatric and primary care settings.
Dr. Barnes will help our community prepare for the back‑to‑school season with a timely and practical talk:
“Pencils, Pressure, and Panic: Mental Health at Back to School.”
Together, we will explore how schools, healthcare providers, and communities can better recognize anxiety, reduce stress, and support children as they return to the classroom.
