Physician Seminar on Risk Adjustment Documentation
Focusing on Diabetes
Medicare has long used risk adjustment of patient populations from diagnostic coding data to determine compensation to commercial payers for administration of Medicare Advantage plans, setting the precedent for integrating cost into physician fee schedule determination.
Risk adjustment is now a factor in physician compensation not only for Medicare for the MIPS scoring, but for commercial bundles (such as perinatal and total hips) and ACO payments as well.
MetroCare will use diabetes, with its comorbidities, as the primary disease process to teach proper documentation for coding risk adjustment and quality measure reporting for MIPS and ACO contracts.
We have two classes scheduled specifically for physicians on March 30 and April 6 at 6:00 PM.
Location: MetroCare Education Room
1661 International Place, Suite #200
Light refreshments will be served.
Physicians will receive network participation credit for 2017.
