The focus on preventive medicine services is to promote and maintain the well-being and health of patients thus reducing risk of disease and disability. This emphasis can identify target areas needing counseling, behavioral intervention, and treatment promoting health to reduce risk.  Karen Scott will review preventive services and the guidelines to select the appropriate codes to report these services to the commercial carriers.

• Services that are bundled in the preventive codes
• Coding preventive services and an acute problem discovered on the same day
• Immunizations, injections, tests and Lab
