Reporting Services in Pediatrics &
Family Practice
Presented by: Karen Scott, MEd, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, FAHIMA
This session will review both new and existing CPT4 and ICD-10-CM coding processes, sequencing guidelines, rules, and regulations. The program will also review coding conventions including interpretations affecting appropriate diagnostic code assignment.
Incentives are moving from a quantity based system to quality based and the requirements to “tell the whole story” with appropriately reporting risk factors through patient co-morbidities is an essential part of relating value with the appropriate level of care for the patient’s condition. Join Karen Scott as coding CPT4- Category I and Category II codes, and ICD-10 CM are reviewed for Pediatrics and Family Practice. Please bring your CPT-4 and ICD-10-CM manuals for class exercises.
