All healthcare workers should be familiar with the language of medicine. This class teaches ways to learn how to break words into their word parts to facilitate understanding of medical terminology.

Practice exercises will aid with spelling and pronunciation of terms. Join expert Karen Scott to update terminology skills to aid with your coding responsibilities and challenges.

Participants will gain some understanding of coding procedure fundamentals and the use of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding manuals to report services performed in practices along with the process for assigning the appropriate supporting diagnoses. Build your coding knowledge or review the basics of assigning proper codes with expert Karen Scott.

Please bring your CPT-4, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM manuals for class participation.
