ICD-10-CM Coding: Official Coding Guidelines for Physicians

These guidelines are rules, often overlooked, that have been developed to complement official coding conventions and instructions provided within ICD-10-CM itself.

Adherence to these guidelines when assigning ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes is required under HIPAA.

Join us for a discussion of these rules underlying the use of the codes and instructions within the main body of the manual. For those who have never read the guidelines, it can be an illuminating experience. It is a great review and update for those familiar with coding and coding rules.

According to OSHA, workplace violence is any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening disruptive behavior that occurs at the work site. It ranges from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and even homicide. It can affect and involve employees, clients, customers and visitors. Join us during your lunch break for an interesting and informative program.
