CMS has finalized major changes for selecting the code level for office/outpatient evaluation and management (E/M) encounters.

Karen will review approved changes for outpatient E&M coding and documentation policies that will take place January 1, 2021.

Attention will be given to:

• Medical Decision Making detailed changes
• Major changes to time-based code selection
• Discussion regarding changes to workflow and templates
• Coding exercises will be included
