Karen will present practice sessions using cases for the 2023 changes to help develop your skills in setting an E&M level based on medical decision making.

• Definitions and details of level determining elements of problems, data, and risk
• Brief summary of major changes to time-based code selection
• Coding exercises from chart documentation

The session will review new and existing CPT4 and ICD-10 coding processes, sequencing guidelines, rules, and regulations as well as coding conventions and interpretations affecting appropriate diagnostic code assignment will be discussed. If there are applicable topics or questions that you wish to have addressed, please forward those at least a week prior to the session to make sure they are covered.

Please have your CPT 4 and ICD-10-CM coding manuals for class exercises.

This is a repeat of the program from November. You will not get CEU for this if you already did that program. The certificate number is the same. Thank you.

A deep dive into the new 2023 E&M- so everything BUT the outpatient coding. Our focus last was on outpatient coding, but of course there is so much more. This  is an intensive review of evaluation and management coding changes for 2023. Please have your coding manuals prepared to participate in some exercises.
