Appropriate use of a 25 modifier has been causing confusion and presenting coding compliance issues since its inception. Use of this modifier is being heavily audited, and payers are beginning to require providers to submit documentation much more frequently than in the past.

Join us for a detailed discussion of proper use. This session is very appropriate for clinicians as well as for coders.

Proper use of modifiers and correct place of service all affect reimbursement for services. Understanding how and when to use modifiers is imperative to relate this additional information not included in procedure codes. Place of service codes will also be discussed with some attention to recent telehealth changes.
