Understanding the Official Coding Guidelines for ICD-10-CM Coding

If you code your own encounters, this one hour program is especially for you along with billers and coders.These guidelines are rules, often overlooked, that have been developed to complement official coding conventions and instructions provided within ICD-10-CM itself.Adherence to these guidelines when assigning ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes is required under HIPAA.
Join us for a discussion of these rules underlying the use of the codes and instructions within the main body of the manual. For those who have never read the guidelines, it can be an illuminating experience. It is a great review and update for those familiar with coding and coding rules.
