All healthcare workers should be familiar with the language of medicine. This class is great for those new to healthcare and is a wonderful review for others. It teaches ways to learn how to break words into their word parts to facilitate understanding of medical terminology.

Practice exercises will aid with spelling and pronunciation of terms.

Join expert Karen Scott to update terminology skills to aid with your coding responsibilities and challenges.

2026 Boot Camp Day 1 Part 2: Advanced Anatomy and Medical Terminology
Presented by: Karen Scott, MEd, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, FAHIMA

Anatomy and medical terminology will be reviewed by using a process of breaking words into their word parts to facilitate their understanding. More in-depth terminology will be discussed for a better comprehension of procedures, conditions, disorders, and diseases.

This class is good for anyone who may need introduction to or review of more complex terms used in the practice of medicine and is a follow-up to last month’s basic level class.

Practice exercises in this session will aid with spelling and pronunciation of terms.
