Please join us on Wednesday, August 19^th for a lunchtime webinar as we learn more about assisting patients with understanding and setting advance directives. Dr. Jacob will address the need for advance directives along with advising us on how to approach this important work with patients. 

In addition to being an experienced healthcare educator and administrator, Dr. Jacob is a frequent speaker regarding end of life issues and has worked as an advocate to increase the creation and use of Advance Directives in our community.

Advance Directives are an important part of Medicare Wellness visits, and as such, may be handled by any qualified healthcare provider in a practice. We hope that you and your staff will be able to join us for this brief but informative session that should prove a good investment of your time.

Official Coding Guidelines: A Deep Dive

These guidelines are rules, often overlooked, that have been developed to complement official coding conventions and instructions provided within ICD-10-CM itself.

Adherence to these guidelines when assigning ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes is required under HIPAA.

Join us for a discussion of these rules underlying the use of the codes and instructions within the main body of the manual. For those who have never read the guidelines, it can be an illuminating experience. It is a great review and update for those familiar with coding and coding rules.

The ICD-10-CM changes for 2021 are just around the corner, and preparation for all the code changes, new guidelines, and regulations is critical for compliance and revenue preservation. 

Join us to be prepared for the October 1 implementation of the changes and coding compliance issues with expert, Karen Scott.  

Two identical sections will be offered on the same day to allow for more attendees.

Please choose either a morning or afternoon session.
