Coding for sepsis can sometimes be as complicated as the condition itself. Specific coding rules will be discussed along with case examples to review necessary documentation and proper ICD-10-CM and CPT coding focused specifically around sepsis.

This training should allow for more accurate and precise reporting to provide opportunity for increased revenue by triggering the appropriate DRG for the hospital as well as setting more realistic cost expectations for shared savings contracts and MIPS reporting.

This program is a requested repeat of our popular class.

All healthcare workers should be familiar with the language of medicine.  This class is great for those new to healthcare and is a wonderful review for others. It teaches ways to learn how to break words into their word parts to facilitate understanding of medical terminology. 

Practice exercises will aid with spelling and pronunciation of terms.  Join expert Karen Scott to update terminology skills to aid with your coding responsibilities and challenges.
