Lunchtime E & M Coding Practice with Labor Management Codes Nov 11

Karen will present 2 NEW online lunchtime practice sessions using cases that will help develop your skills in setting an E&M level based on medical decision making. She will also include the new Labor Management Codes since they are sort of E&M but not in that area of the codes.
Due to the brief time scheduled for these sessions, we will begin promptly. Attention and class discussion will be given to:• Definitions and details of level determining elements of problems, data, and risk• Brief summary of major changes to time-based code selection• Coding exercises from chart documentation

Coding for ObGyn in 2027

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS 2027 CODING TO INCLUDE THE UPDATED MATERNITY CODING RULES. THEY ARE ALREADY IN THE BOOKS TO BE IMPLEMENTED.

Proper coding and documentation are required to bring about maximum reimbursement as well as to report quality care and maintain accurate medical records for the welfare of the patient.

 Chapter specific terminology with anatomy
· Proper coding of conditions, disorders, and their complications
· Review coding sequencing, rules, regulations and conventions
· Stressing the importance of specificity in documentation and codingwith identificationof co-morbidities that trigger HCCs 

Please bring have coding manuals to follow along and use for coding exercises..

Coding ENT and Plastic Surgery In 2026

Presented by:

Karen Scott, MEd, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, FAHIMA

This class will review coding processes, rules, and regulations related to Otolaryngology and some common plastic surgery procedures.  Along with chapter specific terminology and anatomy, Karen will address coding conventions with special attention to sequencing guidelines and rules. Frequently used diagnoses for disorders, diseases, and conditions of Otolaryngology will be reviewed.

Practice coding exercises will be an important section of the class and will assist in reinforcing the material covered.   Please bring your CPT4 and ICD-10-CM manual to class for participation in the exercises.
